Who are we?

We make transparent solar cells! Our photovoltaic cells are suitable for making low-power devices self-powered, and they work both indoor and outdoor. We are a deep tech startup company that spun off from research at Uppsala University a few years back. It is our conviction that digitalisation and mass deployment of IoT devices will depend upon multiple power sources and that our beautiful and transparent solar cells will meet the need for aesthetically designed solutions. In your role you will help our team and customers with electrical and mechanical integration of our transparent solar cells with their application, an opportunity to create synergy between your experience and the customer`s expertise!

What do we expect you to do?

We will expect you to build prototypes by integrating electronics, mechanics and Peafowl’s transparent solar cells and also develop new products with transparent solar cells.
You are meticulous and take responsibility that designs and specifications meet all fit and functional through analysis and testing.
In the manufacturing process is important that the specifications are met, and you will be responsible for verifying that each design is manufactured in such a way.
You will be responsible for purchasing any component needed for the prototypes.
We expect you to work closely with Marketing & Sales team to support the customer projects.

What you need to know and characteristics that will help you be successful:

To thrive in this position we expect you to have a Bachelor of Applied Sciences, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
You are curious and enjoy the details of part design, material selection, and manufacturing techniques.
You have experience in crafting elegant designs that function with efficiency and simplicity.
The machine shop is a familiar surrounding to you and you have experience in rapid prototyping technology.
You are good at listening, speaking, observing and being receptive to the communication of others.

This is a part time or full time position which will start in September.
