Job Description

Peafowl Plasmonics is seeking a part-time R&D Technician to join our expanding team. Your main responsibility will involve operating sputtering equipment to deposit metal oxide layers, following established recipes. Additionally, you'll conduct thin film characterization tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate sputtering machinery to deposit metal oxide layers on various substrates.
• Perform thin film characterization (conductivity, thickness)
• Adhere to existing protocols and recipes with precision.
• Document process parameters and experimental results in a structured manner.
• Assist in routine maintenance and calibration of equipment.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a Master’s program in Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a similar field.
• Cleanroom experience, especially from Ångström (Uppsala University) is highly advantageous
• A solid understanding of materials science.
• Experience or interest in applying analytical abilities in experimental design and data assessment.
• Familiarity with thin film characterization techniques like SEM, AFM, profilometry, or surface resistance measurements is considered advantageous
  
• Genuine interest in photovoltaics; experience of PV processes and semiconductor materials is seen as advantageous
