Master Thesis; Plasmonics deposition with KTH
Seize the opportunity to shape the future of sustainable energy with your master thesis for depostion of plasmonic nanoparticles with KTH!
Project Description
KTH and Peafowl Plasmonics are offering a master thesis project focusing on deposition methods of plasmonic nanoparticles for novel light harvesting applications. This project aims to explore innovative deposition methods as a mean to render plasmonics on a surface, contributing to the advancement of efficient and sustainable light harvesting devices. Work will primarily be performed at KTH (Stockholm), though visits to Peafowl's site in Uppsala will also be part of the project.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and optimize deposition processes for plasmonic nanoparticles.
• Characterize the optical and physical properties of the nanoparticles and their assemblies.
• Analyze and interpret experimental deposition data, to contribute with integrating these results into prototype light harvesting devices.
Candidate Profile
- Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Physics, Materials Science, Chemistry, Nanotechnology, or a related field.
- A strong foundation in materials science and an interest in solar energy and nanoparticle technology.
- Previous laboratory experience, particularly in nanoparticle synthesis or related areas, is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for documenting and presenting research findings.
At Peafowl Plasmonics, we're not just developing technology; we're building a brighter, sustainable future. If you are passionate about contributing to innovative solar energy solutions, we would love to hear from you!
